Beyond fashion, one of my main interests is studying tarot and the occult. Tarot has become, for me, a way to delve into the subconscious and learn about myself through the archetypes of the cards. This inner work has led me to co-develop a 40 day email program that matches the archetypes of the Major Arcana with icons from the worlds of music, film, art and literature. By working with these real life icons as archetypes we can learn more about ourselves. As a group we will work with these Major Arcana icons to channel the archetypal energies into our own lives through a mix of writing, ritual, and other psychoanalytic/ esoteric techniques. Email will be sent out daily with writing prompts from psychoanalyst/astrologer Sherene Vismaya Schostak, historical information on the celebrities by me, and ritual work by Mistress of Magic Katelan Foisy. while Sherene has run over 30 of these 40 day programs (Project 40), this is the first time we have worked all together—combining our differing skills to create a world of knowledge that is unrepeatable. I’ve participated in several P40’s before and they have always been such an amazing experience in terms of learning about myself and about the key subject, which has ranged from goddesses to dreamwork.

The Journey of the Tarot is a Rite of Passage—from the innocent emergence of the Fool through the sobering confrontation with Death, shadow work of The Devil, and the full circle nature of Karmic Cycles with the World.
The 22 Major Arcana of the Tarot reveal KEYS and INSIGHTS along the Soul’s Path through the complex layers of Self—the good, the bad, and the beautiful… and most importantly, the UNKNOWN.
As Universal Archetypes we can see the cards reflected not only in our personal journeys, but in those around us and especially highlighted in the lives of iconic figures (rock stars, artists, and legends) who live on the archetypal dimension in waking life.
For this Project 40 we have paired icons from the worlds of art, music, fashion and literature with the corresponding Tarot archetypes. We will work with these Major Arcana icons to channel the archetypal energies into our own lives through a mix of writing, ritual, and other psychoanalytic/ esoteric techniques.
Drawing on Sherene’s Jungian psychoanalytic/ esoteric arts background, Katelan’s wealth of knowledge as a tarot reader and artist, and Laura’s insights and collections as a cultural and fashion historian, this P40 will amp up the glamour while also diving deep into the psyche.
The 22 cards of the Major Arcana are split over 40 days, with all but three cards receiving two days of focus each. The sequential sojourn through the cards presents us with a path where we will encounter the stars of western culture, acting as guides and teachers at each stop. “We can be heroes, just for one day”–Bowie
